What’s your favorite FOX show? Empire, Hell’s Kitchen, Prison break and House all come to mind. What if I told you that you could watch all of these without cable? You’ll never again miss an episode of Coupled, Hell’s Kitchen or Master chef.
Television has gone digital. No longer must we need to stay in front of it in order to catch the latest episode. Instead, it’s adapting to us and live streaming wherever we are at—and that makes it so much easier.
First, if you haven’t already, head over to fox.com. This is going to give you access to all your favorite shows. All the episodes may or may not be there. All of these episodes are full episodes with limited commercials. You can watch them on any device, from anywhere in the world.
If you’re looking for previous sessions, however, you may be out of luck. All FOX has on their website is the current season. That’s excellent for the people that have been watching the show from the beginning, but not so good so those exploring new shows.
Watch FOX Live On Hulu Plus
Hulu online streaming service is another option. This is another live streaming service that costs $7.99/month. This gives you limited commercials, along with unlimited access to all their television shows and movies. It also gives you the ability to add on showtime. Hulu also grants you access to watch your movies on any device. If you want no commercials at all, this bumps the price up to $11.99/month. This is a wonderful service in addition to Netflix or another streaming service. It lets you get shows that you normally wouldn’t see elsewhere.
Stream FOX TV Shows on Amazon TV
Another option is to search amazon.com. Most of the shows on here are priced at $2.99, while an entire season is roughly $27.99. If you can afford it, that’s great. However, when you have a lot of shows to buy, that can pinch your pennies. Explore Amazon and see if they have your show, but buy it modestly. If you don’t think you can watch the season soon, save your money and buy the season later. Or, just buy episode by episode. You can watch them on any device, which is convenient.
Watch Sling TV Live
Additionally, Sling TV is another option. Sling TV owned Dish network has 3 different packages which let you choose your service. There is a blue package for $20 a month which includes 30 channels. FOX, however, is only included in the blue package for $25.
This package includes 40 channels. You can also combine this packages and get all the channels for $40. You can expect channels such as Travel Channel, Lifetime, History Channel, FX, HGTV, Disney Channel and others. It’s a wonderful service if you have limited cable options in your area.
You can also upgrade to the sports extra package for an additional $5 to get access to Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2. If you decide to go with Sling TV, you’ll get a 7 day free trial for starters, so in essence you can watch shows like Empire for free.
Streaming FOX Live on DirecTV Now
Depending on where you live, you can stream live FOX television shows on DirecTV Now. Live feeds of FOX content are only available in selective markets in the US. Whether your local area is part of the live streaming market or not, you can still have access to the video on demand content, featuring many FOX television shows.
This means if you are out of market and can’t stream live show, you can catch it later on DirecTV Now’s video on demand feature. Sport fans can gain access to FS1 and FS2 on DirecTV Now, but you will have to upgrade to the ‘Go Big’ and ‘Live a Little’ package.
Playstation Vue is yet another way to watch FOX online for free. Vue tempt you with a 7 day free trial so you can actually stream FOX content for zero dollars. The packages offered by Vue is higher than that of both Sling TV and DirecTV Now. Because of the higher price point, I’d suggest going with either Sling tv or DirecTV Now.
Finally, consider purchasing an antenna. This is going to help you get what’s considered over-the-air channels. Place it in a window which doesn’t share space with other buildings or trees. These tend to block a signal. Weather can also block a signal, but this can’t really be avoided. Once you have your antenna placed in the window, start tuning your channels.
You want each channel to be 65% or higher. This means that channel has less chances to be grainy while you are you watching it. If you are confused about which antenna to buy, go here: http://antennaweb.org/Address. It will tell you exactly what channels are available to you—and which antenna is right for your home.
